Dr. Monica Ross DPT, CMPT received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the Doisy College of Health Sciences at Saint Louis University in an accelerated 6-year doctorate program as a Martin Luther King Jr. Scholar.
Prior to receiving her doctorate, she also earned her Bachelor's in Exercise Science and Physiology with an emphasis on fitness and exercise from Saint Louis University. In conjunction with her bachelor's, Dr. Ross completed the necessary requirements for a minor in psychology at the University of Miami. Dr. Ross is BLS certified and has achieved certification through the American Physical Therapy Association as a credentialed clinical instructor.
In addition, she has collaborated with the Department of Orthopaedics at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine on research projects that emphasized the importance of physical therapy, and exercise following spine surgery and for pathological spines. Monica Ross DPT, CMPT is a Certified Manual Physical Therapist and received her certification from the Florida Institute for Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy (FIOMPT).
Through FIOMPT she received extensive training in manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and kinetic taping techniques for the spine and extremities. Dr. Ross’ professional organizations include the American Physical Therapy Organization and the city of Miami Chamber South Wellness Committee.
