About Dr. David Ross
David A. Ross, MD, is an accomplished family physician and sports medicine specialist on the team of exceptional doctors at Ross Medical Group in Miami.
Dr. Ross graduated from Washington University in St. Louis and earned his medical degree from the State University of New York’s Downstate Medical Center in New York City. He finished his training at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, where he completed a family medicine residency and a sports medicine fellowship. He’s currently dual board-certified in primary care sports medicine and family medicine and is a member of the American Medical Association.
During his time at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Ross worked as the team physician for the NHL Philadelphia Flyers, the NFL Philadelphia Eagles, and the Ivy League NCAA Division I University of Pennsylvania Quakers, which involved providing care for athletes in all of the University’s 36 varsity sports teams. His experience with treating professional athletes extends into the realms of both primary care sports medicine and family medicine.
Dr. Ross is recognized as a leading authority in his field and has published several journal articles and numerous book chapters in medical textbooks. In his clinical practice, he’s notably skilled in the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions in athletes, as well as general medical conditions.
